I took these pictures of my flowers today because I was bored and they’re pretty.
I wish that I didn’t blush so easily. Being the center of attention makes me uncomfortable.
Another day, another walk. I love going to this old field because there’s always something interesting to see! There were Baltimore checkerspot caterpillars everywhere and there was a profusion of wild strawberries (yummy). Wildflowers from top right to bottom: birdsfoot trefoil, blue-eyed grass (which is in the iris family), and a hawkweed species. Hope you were able to get outside today!
There’s a distinct difference between feeling lonely and feeling like you want to be with a certain person.

The sun is finally starting to peek through the clouds — time for a walk!
I get on the computer to look something up, should have taken ten minutes. I end up on the computer for over an hour. Ah, distractions.
Spent some time outside birding and walking in the woods today. It was a beautiful, sunny day with a nice variety of summer bird species (including scarlet tanager). Watched a Caspian tern fishing in a wetland, which was a little unusual.
Flower species (left to right): Rough-fruited cinquefoil, Bladder campion, and Yellow flag iris. I was happily surprised to find a snapping turtle on the trail. :) A good day.

Time to make tasty veggie pizza. Feel free to send me questions!
Took a walk in the damp woods today — it was beautiful. I felt a little lonely walking without Chrissy, but she is recovering from a paw injury and isn’t 100% yet. Plenty of birds singing and the air smelled sweet.
